Breathtakingly beautiful, the Dalmatian region is not a place to find a bargain, though Jonty assures us that if you do have the money to invest there, then you are looking a good steady capital growth over a number of years. British buyers tend to be the “well heeled” variety, and more likely to want to integrate into the local community. So if you want to get a piece of champion tennis player Goran Ivanisevic’s birthplace, dig deep because average prices for a two or three bed apartment are around €200,000.

Jonty also gives some good advice on buying an off plan property, as well as a definition of the investment term, “leverage” and how to use it!
